Testing…is this thing on? We must admit we have never tried posting on any sort of forum before, but in these uncertain times, even simple traditionalists like ourselves must look to technologies of the future to communicate with our fellow man. Anyway, that said…how are things in the safety of town? Also basil if you know how to set up privacy settings I would very much oh no wait basil it has the text to speech thing going again how do i no no just oh there see no the just stop talking for a moment it hasn’t stopped basil have you tried the return key no don’t that is not what that means

Thank you for your patience, Thornsmouth. Forum registration has been faced with unexpected delays. However, we are still here for you, posting anyway. Until we are able to get things sorted, please enjoy some supplemental text from next month’s community presentation “Our Historical Founders and the Mysterious Missing Map”:

BONUS FACT: Thornsmouth gets its name from the blackthorn “crops” traditionally grown in the area for centuries, both for fine hedges and as the main ingredient in sloe gin, which is macerated over months to produce the sweet liquor by the barrelful. On the founder’s map, this area is said to be labeled with an illustration of a palm pressed against a forehead, though no one is quite sure what it means. Hmmmm….

Subject: A Good Update For Once#5

Have you heard the good news? Christmouth Church has survived the lockdown without taking on any serious damage or unwelcome new visitors! When we finally received the all-clear from investigators, we could hardly contain ourselves! And luckily, there seems to be yet more supplemental text from our upcoming presentation, “Our Historical Founders and the Mysterious Missing Map”:

BONUS FACT: In the place where it has currently stood for over 400 years, we had discovered that on the missing map, there is written an ancient word, “shgoth”, which translates roughly to “man”!

BONUS REMINDER: Tickets available for all shows, every Saturday next month, available for free, only at the Gardening Society Headquarters, only in person. Come say hello and grab a pair!

Subject: A Heartfelt Thank You#8

The positive reception for yesterday’s video would have been OVERWHELMING if forum registrations were open, and for that…we thank you. And as a reminder, tickets to “Our Historical Founders and the Mysterious Missing Map” are going fast, so get yours in person today, and just in case you have not decided if you want to attend, please enjoy some more supplemental text as a preview!

BONUS FACT: Blackthorn’s Close has always been a wonderful place for a walk, but in the time of our town’s founders, it was truly a place for calm peaceful reflection among the trees and shrubs. On the Founder’s Map, this area was once named with an ancient word, “mgeheheb’thk”, which experts at the Gardening Society have translated to “destroy”. Stunning! Unfortunately, without a copy of the map, we’ll never know exactly what it means.

In the wake of a serious disaster, the Thornsmouth Gardening Society has returned. While you’re waiting for forum registration to reopen, why not join? To become a member, head in to our offices near the center of town and sign up today.

And it’s not quite an official bonus fact, but on the Founder’s Map, this area is supposedly labelled with an illustration of “standing still in silence”, so be ready for a queue! Everyone must just be so excited about Gardening! (While you’re at our HQ, ask about tickets for “Our Historical Founders and the Mysterious Missing Map” starting next month!)
